Osroes V (オスロエス五世,Osuroesu Nanasei?) is a deceased character of the novel series The Heroic Legend of Arslan. He is the former king of Pars and the father of Hilmes and elder brother of Andragoras III, and rumored to have been assassinated by Andragoras.
Osroes is shown in flashbacks with no hair and his eyes being closed majority of the time.
Background
Osroes was the previous king before his younger brother, Andragoras. He is depicted as a father who was proud of his son, Hilmes, and had high hopes for him as heir to the throne. In 304, at the age of 30, he died from illness after being injured from falling from his horse. He is rumored to have been murdered by his brother for the throne and, possibly, the hand of Tahamine. This causes Hilmes to harbor a great hatred towards his uncle.
