Kharlan try to kill Arslan and his group, but they decide to stand against him and his traitorous troops.
Kharlan ’s men report to him that Arslan and his group have escaped. He is angered by this, and apologizes to Hilmes , who thinks that he is being too easy on his men. Hilmes informs him that he will ask Guidcard to mobilize troops.
Kharlan is made fun of for betraying his country when passing a group of Lusitanian soldiers.
Disguised as a young girl, Elam watches the troops enter the city. He tries to ask a soldier about what the troops are for, but the soldier only tries to lead him away. Ester notices this and tries to rescue him, only to find that Elam has already killed the soldier. They fight briefly before Elam escapes to report back to Daryun and Narsus . A group of Parsian slaves begin to question Ester about why the Lusitanians haven’t freed them yet.
Back with their group, Elam informs Daryun and Narsus that he was unable to find the location or Andragoras, but he saw at least 1,000 cavalrymen heading out to search for Arslan. Arslan wants to go out and face them before they harm any villages. They set out to face Kharlan’s army.
