Azrael (告死天使(アズライール) Azuraīru^?) is a Hawk of Kishward, and is one of the secondary characters of the novel series The Heroic Legend of Arslan.

Appearance

Azrael has a dark yellow beak and grey feathers in the 2013 Manga and Anime

In the OVA, he has a light yellow and black beak and grey feathers.

Azrael seems to be more fond of Arslan than his owner, Kishward.

Also, he is brave; he saves Arslan's life several times by attacking enemies.

Azrael seems to like Kishward less than Arslan, according to Kishward himself.

Azrael (Hebrew: עזראל‎; Arabic: عزرائيل, translit.: ʿIzrāʾīl or Arabic: عزرایل, translit.: ʿIzrāīl) is often identified with the Archangel of Death in Hebrew, Sikhism lore, as well as Islam.
